Applied Biodiversity - Investigate, Protect, Valorise

The Botanical Garden is intensively integrated into the research of our department. Plant biodiversity is precious, not only in a metaphoric sense, but in real terms. In several projects we make use of diversity to develop real-world applications. In the focus are crop plants, such as rice or grapevine and their wild relatives, but also plants with medicinal activity.
